Orphanage Mehan

Nazaneen belongs to a destitute family whose life has been through a lot of misery. The father is a drug-addict living on streets and the poor illiterate mother supports the family. The mother worked as a cook in Mehan Orphanage for a year and then left the job because she lived 60 km away from the orphanage and often face street harassment on her way. Nazaneen is from Farah, a predominantly Taliban controlled area, and moved to Kabul two years ago following the fierce battle that destroyed her village. Nazaneen is a little smart girl and a top student in the school.
