Orphanage Mehan

Brishna is a 12-years old girls from an indigenous community live in a small valley in Badakhshan, a remote area north of Afghanistan on the Silk Road close to Pamir valley. Because of impassible roads, this community has little connection with the rest of Afghanistan and kept their own traditions and culture. Brishna’s family are farmers working on the land of their landlords. Brishna began working on the field since she was 10 years old. Brishna wishes to come to Mehan Orphanage in Kabul and begin a new life.
