Fund for Afghan Girls Escaping the Taliban

On the International Women’s Day, Afghan girls are crying out to the world:

“We are trapped in a burning hell. For those who care about us, don't just say sorry and watch us burn—reach out your hand and pull us out of the flames.”

At AFCECO, we hear them loud and clear. Last year, with the support of individuals like you, we rescued 30 Afghan girls, relocating them to Pakistan where they now attend private schools, safe and free.

But many more girls are still trapped in the flames of the Taliban’s oppressive rule, and the painful reality is impossible to ignore—Taliban are not going away soon, tightening their chokehold on Afghanistan and placing increasingly harsh restrictions on women and girls. The world may appear indifferent, but we cannot be.

Building on last year’s success, we are determined to rescue even more Afghan girls this year. Our goal is to relocate them to safer countries where they can go to school without fear and dare to dream of a brighter tomorrow. However, the journey ahead is not easy. The logistics—securing passports, visas, safe travel, and covering educational and living expenses—are both challenging and costly.
